An underwater world was discovered around Scotland and Denmark. The article describing this discovery can be found here.
This article caught my attention as some computational archaeology can be spotted within the paragraphs. One example is the fact that climatologists, archaeologists and geophysicists mapped and analysed the area using data gathered from oil companies. The other two can be seen in the images, one being the scans of the area and the other being a 3D visualisation of what the area could have looked like when it was above sea level.
Although the focus of the article is not computational archaeology, it can be easily seen that technology played a large role in the discovery and analysis of this “British Atlantis”.
